General Notice

AACEA will not rent, sell or share any personal information of its students who attend an AACEA Seminar either by classroom or via the internet or any other training provided by AACEA, unless the information is requested by the OLCC or any other Oregon State law enforcement agency.

The information we collect will be stored electronically for the time directed by the OLCC.

AACEA will not be held liable for any breach of security outside its scope of record retention.

AACEA will use the demographics of its students through either classroom instruction or internet instruction for the sole purpose of determining which cities in Oregon the Classroom Seminar should be offered and what times and calendar days.

Any information obtained by AACEA other than through electronic means will be destroyed once the information is converted to electronic data.


This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for AACEA.com. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this web site. It will notify you of the following:

  1. The personally identifiable information we collect from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  2. The choices available to you regarding the use of your information.
  3. The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

A. Information Collection and Use and Sharing

Collection

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We have access to/collect information that you give us via direct contact from you, including form completion, examination responses, and email. At your option, you may also provide demographic information (such as gender) about yourself, but it is not required. We do not use "cookies" on this site.

In order to use the services offered on this website (for example, to buy and sign up for the Alcohol Server Permit Class), a user must register and create an account with a log-in ID and password. You must provide us with personally identifiable information (like name and address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). We collect the following specific information from each user: (1) personally identifiable student information, including a name, address, phone number(s), email address, computer IP address, and date of birth; (2) student personal profile information; (3) student course activity information (including log in and log off times); (4) credit card information and financial data provided by the student; and (5) course participation work, including at least responses to exam questions and a course evaluation.

Use

We use the information we collect from you to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest, to validate student participation in our course, and to report your participation in the Alcohol Server Permit Class to the state liquor control board or other state regulatory agency with jurisdiction over liquor sales. We will also use demographic information, if provided, for the purpose of determining when and where to offer classroom instruction. We use your personal and financial information for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use this information to contact you.

We store the information you provide to us for the period required by applicable law, including the period specified by applicable state liquor control board or other state regulatory agency.

Sharing

We will not sell or rent or provide or otherwise furnish the information we collect from you to any third party except:

  1. The state liquor control board or other state regulatory agency with jurisdiction over liquor sales
  2. As necessary to fulfill your request, for example, to report your purchase of our product or online course to the credit card company that issued the card you used to make the purchase;
  3. To law enforcement

Unless you ask us not to (i.e., “opt out,”) we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.


B. Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website. You may also contact us to accomplish the following:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Correct any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

C. Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page. Our website uses, at a minimum 128 bit SSL encryption registered through a valid and trusted certificate authority we use Comodo.

In addition to using encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Documents used to provide us with personally identifiable information are destroyed after the information on the documents is converted to electronic form. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information in electronic form are kept in a secure environment.
