What's a Proctor?

Anyone over 21 years of age can be your proctor.

Your chosen proctor can be a friend, parent, roommate, etc, and they don't have to live in Oregon.

A "proctor" is just someone who's there to watch you take the final exam in order to make sure you don't cheat. It's a closed book exam.

You can sign up and take the entire course before you get a proctor - they don't need to watch you taking the course, just the final exam.

Right before you start the final exam through the OLCC's Online Portal, your proctor will be required to answer some questions and enter personal information including their driver's license number or another ID number.

This is how the State of Oregon allows you take the final exam online while ensuring you're not cheating.
