Closing Hours:
It shall be unlawful for any business where alcoholic beverages are the principal commodity sold or given away to be open for business between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any day of the week. It shall be unlawful for any other business to sell or give away alcoholic beverages between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any day of the week.

WARD 4--Sales Regulations:
The sale of alcoholic beverages containing more than 3.2% alcohol by weight is prohibited in Ward 4 of the parish.

Location Regulations:
No permit shall be granted for any premises situated within 500 feet or less distance of a building occupied exclusively as a church or synagogue, public library, public playground or school, except a school for business education conducted as a business college or school.

Prohibited Consumption:
No person holding a retail dealer's permit, and no servant, agent, or employee of the permittee shall permit the consumption of alcoholic beverages by any person, regardless of age, on property owned or leased by the retail dealer adjacent to the building(s) where alcoholic beverages are sold.

Municipal of Zwolle Ordinances

Legal Hours of Operation - Sunday Sales - Public Consumption -

Hours of Operation:
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or otherwise dispose of any alcoholic beverages within the town between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m.. It shall be unlawful for any business for which a permit to sell any alcoholic beverages of high alcoholic content or any beverages of low alcoholic content has been issued wherein alcohol is consumed on the premises to be open between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. of any day.

Public Consumption:
It shall be unlawful for any person to consume or allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages, when the establishment is open to the general public between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m. in any place where alcoholic beverages are sold.

Compliance With Zoning Laws:
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, barter, exchange or otherwise dispose of alcoholic beverages except within those sections of the town wherein such sale is permitted by the applicable zoning ordinances.

Location Regulations:
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or otherwise dispose of any alcoholic beverages from, and no permit shall be granted for, any premises situated within 300 feet or less distance of a building occupied exclusively as a bona fide church, synagogue, public library, public playground or school, except a school for business education conducted as a business college or school. Certain exceptions apply.

Sale or Consumption in Public:
It shall be unlawful in the town to sell, possess or consume any kind or type of alcoholic beverages of high or low alcoholic content, on any public street or sidewalk, or outside the premises, particularly on the outside grounds, parking lot, porch or any other place beyond the closed-in confines of the premises.

Alcoholic Beverage Handler's Employee Card Required:
It shall be unlawful for any alcoholic beverage permit holder to allow any alcoholic beverage handling employee to handle, sell or serve alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, unless such alcoholic beverage handling employee is in possession of an alcoholic beverage handling employee card. Within 5 days after employing any alcoholic beverage handling employee, the permit holder shall notify the chief of police of such employment, and such alcoholic beverage handling employee, within 5 days of employment, shall be required to apply to the chief of police and obtain such card.

Every alcoholic beverage handling employee shall obtain an alcoholic beverage handling employee card prior to handling, selling, or serving alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises of any establishment.

In addition to other qualifications, the person must be of good character and reputation and over 18 years of age. All alcoholic beverage handling employee cards shall be good and valid for the life of the card holder, unless revoked or suspended.

A card for an alcoholic beverage handling employee shall be good and valid for use on the premises of any alcoholic beverage permit holder, provided that the permit holder has notified the chief of police of the name and address of the alcoholic beverage handling employee card holder within 5 days of the employee's employment.
