Closing Hours:
All places of business where alcoholic beverages are kept, sold, stored for sale at retail, or served shall close their places of business at 2:00 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning and on Saturday close at midnight (12 o'clock).

WARD 1--Sales Regulations:
The sale of beverages of high alcoholic content containing more than 6% alcohol by volume for consumption on the premsies is prohibited in all of Ward 1 Morehouse Parish, Louisiana. The sale of beverages of high alcoholic content containing more than 6% alcohol by volume by package only and not for consumption on the premises is hereby prohibited in Ward 1 Morehouse Parish, Louisiana.

WARD 2--Sales Regulations:
In Ward 2 of Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, no person shall sell beverages of low alcoholic content containing more than 3.2% alcohol by weight and not more than 6% alcohol by volume. In Ward 2 of Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, no person shall sell any beverage containing more than 0.5% alcohol by volume but not more than 3.2% alcohol by weight. In Ward 2 of Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, no person shall sell beverages of high alcoholic content containing more than 6% alcohol by volume for consumption on the premises. In Ward 2 of Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, no person shall sell beverages of high alcoholic content containing more than 6% alcohol by volume by package only and not for consumption on the premises.

WARD 4--Sales Regulations:
The sale of beverages of low alcoholic content containing more than 3.2% alcohol by weight, and not more than 6% alcohol by volume is prohibited in Ward 4 outside the City of Bastrop, Louisiana. The sale of beverages of high alcoholic content containing more than 6% alcohol by volume for consumption on the premises is prohibited in all of Ward 4 (both outside and inside the City of Bastrop) Louisiana. The sale of beverage of high alcoholic content containing more than 6% alcohol by volume by package only and not for consumption on the premises is hereby prohibited in Ward 4 (outside the City of Bastrop) Louisiana.

WARD 5--Sales Regulations:
In Ward 5 of Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, no person shall produce, manufacture, rectify, blend or handle, sell, use, distribute, store or consume beer, porter, ale, fruit juices, wine, or other alcoholic liquors, of an alcoholic content greater than 0.5% of alcohol by volume, but not exceeding 6% of alcohol by volume. In Ward 5 of Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, no person, shall produce, manufacture, rectify, blend or handle, sell, use, distribute, store or consume malt, vinous, spiritous, alcoholic or intoxicating liquors containing more than 6% of alcohol by volume.

WARD 7--Sales Regulations:
The sale of beverages of low alcoholic content containing more than 3.2% alcohol by weight and not more than 6% alcohol by volume is prohibited in Ward 7 Parish of Morehouse, Louisiana. The sale of beverages of high alcoholic content containing more than 6% alcohol by volume for consumption on the premises is prohibited in Ward 7 Parish of Morehouse, Louisiana. The sale of beverages of high alcoholic content containing more than 6% alcohol by volume by package only and not for consumption on the premises be prohibited in Ward 7 Parish of Morehouse, Louisiana.

WARD 10--Sales Regulations:
The sale of beer containing more than 3.2% alcohol by weight and not more than 6% alcohol by volume is prohibited in Ward 10 outside the Village of Bonita, Louisiana. The sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises is prohibited in Ward 10 outside the Village of Bonita, Louisiana.

Location Regulations:
No license for alcoholic beverages shall be granted to and no alcoholic beverage business shall be conducted on any premises situated within 300 feet or less of a public playground or of a building used exclusively as a church or synagogue, public library, or school. These restrictions do not apply to premises which are maintained as a bona fide hotel, motel, railway car, or fraternal organization.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Sign Requirement:
Each person holding a license under the provisions of this Chapter shall post and display in a conspicuous place on each licensed premises a sign which shall clearly read as follows, to-wit: "WARNING: Drinking alcoholic beverage during pregnancy may cause severe physical or mental birth defects."

Municipal of Bastrop Ordinances

Closing Hours:

All places of business where alcoholic beverages are kept, sold, stored for sale at retail, or served shall be closed between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 12:00 noon on Sunday, and during the hours when these businesses shall close, all business activities on the premises shall cease. In addition, all places of business where alcoholic beverages are sold and authorized to be consumed on the premises, except as otherwise provided for in the Code of Ordinances, shall remain closed between the hours of 12:00 noon and 6:00 a.m. on Monday. It shall be unlawful for any person, other than the proprietor or the proprietor's employee, to stay or be found in any place where alcoholic beverages are kept and sold between the hours such places are required to be closed.

Restaurants:

These closing hours shall not apply to hotel/motel hospitality rooms or restaurants that hold a Class R restaurant alcohol license. Restaurants that have a Class R restaurant alcohol license may not sell alcoholic beverages or permit the consumption of alcoholic beverages on their premises from 12:00 midnight on Saturday until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, and from 10:00 p.m. on Sunday until 6:00 a.m. on the following Monday morning, and are permitted to sell beer, wine and like beverages containing not more than 6% of alcohol by volume in conjunction with meals prepared and served on the premises on Sundays between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. However, restaurant establishments may not sell or serve alcoholic beverages between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any day.

Private Clubs:

A bona fide private club, a bottle club, or the premises of a commercial establishment wherein alcoholic beverages are dispensed or consumed at a privately controlled function shall not dispense or permit the consumption of alcoholic beverages between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. on any day, but shall otherwise be exempt from the closing hours for other alcoholic beverage establishments. A bona fide club may also remain open and permit the consumption of alcoholic beverages between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 2:00 a.m. on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Location Regulations: No license shall be granted for any premises situated within 300 feet or less of a public playground or of a building used exclusively as a church or synagogue, public library, school, or full-time day care center. Certain exceptions apply.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Signage:

Each person holding a license to sell alcoholic beverages shall post and display in a conspicuous place on each licensed premises a sign which shall clearly read as follows: "WARNING: DRINKING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DURING PREGNANCY CAN CAUSE SEVERE PHYSICAL OR MENTAL BIRTH DEFECTS."

Security Requirement:

Every establishment licensed by the city to dispense alcohol, or to permit the consumption of alcohol upon its premises, shall employ and physically post on duty on its premises certified security personnel, when such establishment is open and permits the dispensing or consumption of alcohol upon it premises after 12:00 midnight. Security personnel shall be posted upon such premises during the period of 12:00 midnight until the premises are closed for business.
