It shall be unlawful for the holder of any permit issued under the provisions of this article to sell, serve or donate alcoholic beverage drinks of either high or low alcoholic content between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. of every day of the week.
It shall be unlawful for the holder of any permit issued under the provisions of this article or his agents or employees to allow any customers to whom any alcoholic beverage drinks of either high or low alcoholic content delivered to said customer before 2:00 a.m. to remain anywhere on the premises after the hour of 2:30 a.m.

Location Restrictions:
No retail permit shall be issued to any business or premises located or situated within 300 feet or less distance of a building, occupied exclusively as a church or synagogue, public library, school, or full-time day care center, or correctional facility housing inmates, including but not limited to a halfway house. Certain exceptions apply for bona fide hotels, motels, and fraternal organizations.
Noise Restrictions:
No person holding a retail dealer's permit, and no agent, associate, employee, representative, or servant of any such person shall do or permit any of the following acts to be done on or about the licensed premises: Play live or recorded music which is so unreasonably intrusive or offensive as to interfere with the comfortable enjoyment of the property of a person residing within 200 feet of the premises. Certain exceptions apply.
Leaving Premises with Alcohol
Open Containers:
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, disburse or permit the sale or disbursement of alcoholic beverages in an open container for consumption off the licensed premises, or to furnish open containers to patrons for the intent and purpose of removal and consumption of alcoholic beverages off the licensed premises.

Minors in Establishments Dealing in High Alcoholic Content Beverages:
No minor shall at any time be employed in any of the retail businesses provided for in this article and no liquors of any kind shall be sold to minors in such establishments where liquors of any alcoholic contents are sold.

It shall be unlawful for any holder of any permit or his agents or employees to allow any alcoholic beverage drinks, of either high or low alcoholic content, delivered to customers before 2:00 a.m. to remain anywhere on the premises after the hour of 2:30 a.m.
It shall be unlawful for any holder of any permit or his agents or employees to allow the premises which sell said alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises to remain open to the general public between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.

Parish / Municipal Server Training / Certification Requirements
Certificate of Qualification to Dispense Alcoholic Beverages Required:
No person shall dispense alcoholic beverages of low or high alcoholic content in any business licensed for on-premises consumption without having been certified or qualified to do so by the mayor and without meeting all requirements. In addition to other qualifications, the person must be of good character and reputation and over 18 years of age. Each applicant having a certificate of qualification shall be photographed and fingerprinted by the police department of the city. Every certificate of qualification must be renewed every 2 years.

Weapons in Alcoholic Beverage Establishments:
It shall be unlawful for any person to have in his possession a firearm or other instrumentality customarily used or intended for probable use as a dangerous weapon in any premises where alcoholic beverages are sold and consumed on the premises except the owner or lessee of the premises, or their employees, sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, state police, city police, constables, town marshals, or persons vested with police power when in the actual discharge of their duties.
