Hours of Sales Regulations - Sunday Sales - Location Regulations
Hours of Sales Regulations:
It shall be unlawful to sell or offer for sale at retail, or to give away, in or upon any licensed premises, any alcoholic beverages between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, nor between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of any Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday. Holidays are defined to include the day preceding the day of the holiday: New Year's Day, Mardi Gras, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
It shall be unlawful for the holder of any permit or the operator of any alcoholic beverage outlet to permit anyone to consume or possess any alcoholic beverage on the premises during the restricted hours defined above. For the purposes of this section the term premises shall include not only the building in which the alcoholic beverage outlet is located, but also the area immediately outside of the building and the entire parking lot area.
Location Regulations:
No permit shall be granted for any premises situated within 150 feet or less distance of a building occupied exclusively as a church or synagogue, public library, public playground or school except a school for business education conducted as a business college or school; provided further, that no permit shall be granted for any premises situated within 300 feet or less distance of a cemetery. Certain exceptions apply.

Holidays are defined to include the day preceding the day of the holiday: New Year's Day, Mardi Gras, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Employee Certificate of Qualification:
No person shall dispense or serve alcoholic beverages in any establishment holding a permit for on-premises consumption without having a certificate of qualification to do so. Employees hired to serve or dispense alcoholic beverages shall be required to secure a certificate of qualification prior to the beginning of their employment. A person to whom a certificate of qualification to dispense alcoholic beverages is issued shall carry such certificate on his person and shall present it to police officers on request.
