Hours of Operation - Sunday Sales - Wards 3 & 4 Sales Regulations – Location Regulations - Grounds for Suspension / Revocation of Permit

Hours of Sales:
It shall be unlawful to sell or offer for sale, at retail, or to give away in or upon any licensed premises or any other public place any beverages of high and/or low alcoholic content:

Monday - Thursday: Between 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m.
Friday, Saturday, & The Day Preceding Major Holidays: Between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Sunday & Primary and General Election Days: The sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited within the parish, outside the corporate limits of incorporated villages, towns and cities from 12:00 midnight on Saturday until 12:00 midnight on Sunday and on primary and general election days.

Closing Hours:
It shall be unlawful to keep open for business or to admit the public into, or permit the public to remain inside or to permit the consumption of beverages of high and/or low alcoholic content in or upon any premises while such beverages are prohibited.

WARD 3--Sales Regulations:
The business of producing, manufacturing, selling, using, distributing, storing, or consuming of alcoholic or intoxicating liquors (except when prescribed by a licensed physician as a medicine) within the limits of Ward 3 is prohibited, and shall not be licensed or permitted. The sale of the following types of alcoholic beverages is prohibited within the territorial limits of Ward 3 o than 0.5 % alcohol by volume but not more than 3.2 % alcohol by weight; Beverages of low alcoholic content containing more than 3.2 % alcohol by weight, but not more than 6% alcohol by volume; Beverages of high alcoholic content, containing more than 6% alcohol by volume either for consumption on the premises or by the package only / not for consumption on the premises.

WARD 4--Sales Regulations:
The sale of the following types of alcoholic beverages is prohibited within the limits of Ward 4 and shall not be licensed or permitted: Beverages of low alcoholic content containing more than 3.2 % alcohol by weight and not more than 6% alcohol by volume; Beverages of high alcoholic content, containing more than 6% alcohol by volume either for consumption on the premises or by package only.

Location Regulations:
The conduct of businesses for the sale of beverages of low alcoholic content and beverages of high alcoholic content within a distance of 500 feet of any public playground, or of a building used exclusively as a church or synagogue, public library, or school is prohibited.

Grounds for Suspension / Revocation of Permit :
Conducting the business in a disorderly manner, permitting disturbances of the peace, and the operation of the business as a disorderly house or in such manner as to disturb the public peace and quiet of the neighborhood. Permitting loitering in and around the place of business of persons in an intoxicated condition. Violating federal and state laws regulating the sale of alcoholic beverages / intoxicated liquors. Violating state laws against gambling, lotteries, and slot machines. Violating other state laws involving moral turpitude.

Legal Hours of Operation - Sunday Sales – Location Regulations

Hours of Operation:

Establishments or places of business selling or dispensing any beverage containing any alcohol of any content, whatsoever, shall close at 2:00 a.m. and not reopen until 7:00 a.m. on Monday through Sunday morning at 2:00 a.m., except that opening on Sunday shall not be permitted until 12:00 noon. Certain exceptions apply.

Location Regulations:

No person shall be allowed to conduct an alcoholic beverage business under a class A license, which is a license to sell alcoholic beverages, including beer, liquor, ale, wine or other alcoholic outside of the corporate limits of the Village of Reeves, Louisiana: Beverages containing more

beverages for consumption on the premises within a distance of 300 feet from any building used exclusively as a regular church or synagogue, public library, or school except a school for business education conducted as a business college, within the corporate limits of the town.

No person shall conduct an alcoholic beverage business under a class B license, which is a license to sell beer, liquor, ale, wine or any other alcoholic beverages by package and not to be consumed on the premises, within a distance of 200 feet of any building used exclusively as a regular church or synagogue, public library or school, within the corporate limits of the town
